Emily has an instinct for capturing families in their natural state. My children are both autistic and not likely to sit and pose for a camera. Emily was able to capture sweet moments of laughter and beautiful smiles for each family member while we moved naturally. The photos were so rich in color with beautiful backgrounds. I printed several on canvas for decor in our home and we’ve received many compliments. We’ll definitely use Emily again!

We lucked out by finding a recommendation for Emily online. We met her for a mini session where I wanted her to photograph my 3-year-old son. She captured his personality and curiosity so perfectly! He was slow to warm up and she was incredibly patient and went to great lengths to make sure we had beautiful memories. My son happens to be autistic and knowing that she specializes in working with special needs families gave me peace that she was not judging his temperament or rushing us. Emily was my photographer for maternity, delivery and newborn photo sessions. Her professional and fun personality helped us take comfortable and beautiful family photos. During the maternity and newborn photo sessions she casually chatted with us as she worked. This allowed for candid photos of laughter, bold and rich in color. Never once did the photo session feel staged or awkward.

For the delivery photo session, she captured amazing action photos in detail. Emily was able to photograph the emotions of me as a laboring mom, my husband as a supporter, and even my children as participants; all while silently moving around, never becoming an obstacle to the midwives. She seemed to take photos from all angles, saving forever the memory of delivering my baby. I’m so thankful I invested in these photographs. As memories fade, I will always be able to look back and see what miracle just occurred in my family.
